A.I.M.
A.I.M. - Advanced Idea Mechanics
This organization was founded back in WWII as a division of scientific research underneath HYDRA. As HYDRA hid within S.H.I.E.L.D., this organization of brilliant scientists and their hirelings did or were infiltrating other organizations as well, such as the CIA, KGB and MI6. Granting these groups special technologies, while HYDRA engineered people who would do the dirty work was an ideal pair-off.
In the late 1960s, A.I.M. seceded from HYDRA because of political differences and their desires to work with others that HYDRA did not ultimately have total control over. A.I.M. carried out its own missions afterward and became incorporated as an international cartel, dealing with development and marketing of new technological products, hardware and weaponry for countries, corporations and terrorists to bid on.
A.I.M. was once exposed in the 70s by Nick Fury as being a subversive organization that would stir up nations or quasi-governmental organizations to fighting in order to test out their hardware and equipment. Since this time, they pushed back underground and even had lingering ties once again with HYDRA. This group of scientists managed to get hold of things such as the information on the Cosmic Cube and the spear Loki used to control the aliens. What their true plans are, no one is absolutely sure, but these scientists do not just bow down to anyone. However, with information on the Cosmic Cube and on super soldiers, something awful is brewing, needless to say.
A.I.M. has managed to create what they call the 'Super-Adaptoid'. It is an android capable of duplicating any super power that is revealed to it. They are working on a duplicate creation of the Cosmic Cube as well and they have developed A.I.s and technological weaponry.
