Powers:

Medea, as a demi-god, has certain physical characteristics that are greater than a mundane human's would be. These are reflective in her Stats. Also, she has the following benefits:
* +1cs to Endurance to resist poisons, toxins of a non-magical nature.
* Poor (4) body armor to soak physical blunt or sharp attacks.


Invocation - Medea's spells are invented by her with the names of Gods or other beings of power so that they are unique to her but also invoke the power of those people and memory. Some were given to her by the Gods or others and some were duplicated by her.

Runic Magic - Amazing. Medea can use specific elemental rune magic after inscribing it or stumbling upon it to try to activate the magic from them.

Elemental Magic Manipulation - INCREDIBLE (40) Medea can manpulate Earth, Wind, Water and Fire if they are in her vicinity to use. She must first incantate to control the Element in question and can only do one at a time without a FEAT. If she tries to combine, she must make successful FEAT rolls of Yellow for 2 and Red for more. Damage is a REMARKABLE level. (30)

Spell List: These may be cast with MONSTROUS ability. Results however vary and are posted with each Spell. Spells that have a timer may have duration increased depending but will require rituals to do so.

* Flames of Hestia - Elemental - Sends a blast of flames at you. Can also shape the flames into limited configurations, such as a whip or a sword, or can be used to bless a weapon with fire. Damage: INCREDIBLE. From Weapons and such, +1CS to the weapon.

* Wrath of Poseidon - Elemental - Tidal torrent that washes away anything in front of her. Damage: INCREDIBLE

* Medea's Abyss - Invocation - Creates a lightless sphere that has the radius of two city blocks. The darkness is considered blinding unless a character can roll and beat an Amazing Roll for the 'damage' of the spell to resist it. Characters within are at a -2CS to Fighting, Agility and Intuition that is sight-based.

* Hades' Hand - Necromancy - Raises the recently deceased as zombies. Not particularly tough or bright, and can be put down fairly easily. Beware large numbers of them, though. Zombies use typical stats.

* Light of Apollo - Elemental - Flare of bright light that blinds anyone in a 5' radius. - 3cs to Agility, Intuition and Fighting for 1d10 Rounds. Resisting is covering/shielding eyes, which characters may roll Agility (or Psyche if they have something to resist with Magic vs Magic) and beat her initial roll of Monstrous to resist.

* Shade of Thanatos - Necromancy - Raise a Shade/Spirit of the deceased, but she cannot make them attack the physical/living, as they are incorporeal under her control. She may raise more than one with a successful FEAT roll. Yellow for 2, Red for more. No more than 10 may be raised at one time using this spell alone. She can maintain control using her Psyche vs the Shade's.

* Nemesis's Glare - (Fear) - A area of effect or focused fear spell, Medea's eyes leak purple vapor while she casts it, and while it's active, turns her into an intimidating figure that you'd want to run away from. Scare enemies into running far far away. Roll Psyche to attack and characters must defeat the rolled result or flee in terror for 1d10 minutes. Characters may resist with Psyche and continue to try to get their mental stability back to normal each Round, one time. Failure implies the character is still feared. A botch may make the Fear last an additional 1d10 minutes.

* Hammer of Zeus - Elemental - Pillar of lightning slams into the ground; AoE effect: Damage is AMAZING to foes in the up to 20 foot radius. It may also be used to short out electronics/power in an area.

* Hands of Hephaestus - Alteration - Can change the properties/shape of objects as long as she's in physical contact with them, as well as create items from various surfaces. Said items can only take on the appearance of what they're created from. Green implies it may somewhat work, Yellow, it succeeded, Red is a critical success. Stats are determined by ST.

* Black Bands of Nyx - Black tentacles launch up from pools of ink in the ground, wrapping themselves around the limbs and body of whoever she targets and renders them unable to attack her. They are considered fully grappled until they break free. Strength of the Tentacles is INCREDIBLE. These last until Medea stops focusing.

* Aphrodite’s Favor - Makes Medea look more appealing to everyday people, as well as her enemies. If they wish to attack her, they are at -2cs for any harmful actions targeting her and her Charisma/Popularity is considered an AMAZING while it lasts.

* Proteus’ Mastery - A shapeshifting spell that gives Medea the ability to turn into other people or various creatures, though she won’t have any bonuses if she shapeshifts into another superhero. She also needs to have seen the creature she’s going to shapeshift into. AMAZING for others to see through that it is a spell. There is a limit on how much she can change into, basically going 100 lbs less than she is to 300 lbs more than she is.

* Chronos’ Reversal - Reverses time by 10 seconds, giving Medea a chance to avoid any fatal attacks at +2cs, but is a spell of last resort. This spell can have repercussions and draw unwanted attention.

* Shield of Achilles - A mystical shield that reduces the effects of any magical or non-magical attacks launched at her. Like Achilles, there is always a weak spot that can be found if someone is seeking to look. Otherwise the spell protects with MONSTROUS shielding. The shield will hold unless shattered and lasts for up to 10 Rounds.

* Hecate’s Negation - Creates an invisible sphere with a 10 foot radius that negates magic usage within its’ bounds, reducing the ability of magic users to cast any spells by -2cs. Resistance is not possible but a spell to cancel/despell it is possible if one defeats the casting roll. This lasts for 1d10 Rounds.

* Gaea’s Rage - Allows Medea to manipulate the earth around her to create various walls, launch shards or stones at her enemies, or make the ground quake to disorient them. Results are decided by the ST. Damage is INCREDIBLE.

* Asclepius’ Gift - Medea’s hands glow with a soft green light as she channels her magical energy and turns it towards healing her allies. Roll REMARKABLE for healing points.

* Dolos’ Castle - Illusion. Despite the name, this is a spell that allows Medea to create illusions that are nearly indistinguishable from reality. The strength of the Illusion is AMAZING vs someone else's PSYCHE to see through it. If they have Dispel magic or defenses against Illusion, it can work as well against this to change the rolls.

History:
She fell in love with Jason when he stopped by Colchis with his Argonauts, joining him for various adventures. However, after he abandoned her in Corinth at the end of the voyage, she prayed to her grandfather Helios in the hopes that her grandfather would make Jason suffer. Once she accomplished this, she retired to her home in Colchis and took over ruling it until the Greek empire fell apart. After the empire fragmented, she took to travelling across the globe studying forbidden lore, taking tomes back to her ancestral manor in Colchis, occasionally having run-ins with Selene, the future Black Queen of the Hellfire Club. As the centuries passed, she upgraded her manor in the fashions of the period, as well as engaging in various careers and activities to pass the time, filling up her manor with various accomplishments. In the current decade, she's a mercenary fighting in the Balkans.

Her ancestral manor, now heavily modified with modern materials, and containing a treasure trove of magical knowledge, as well as more than a few weapons from various time periods, is currently in western Georgia, somewhere along the coastline. It's wrapped up in an illusion from an orb in her library, making it look like a bunch of ruins, somewhat desecrated.
